2015-10-13 - #044

Doug Worts, Consultant and Charlotte Young, Consultant, conveners of this groups Flourishing Cultural Business Models Project presented  the results of this groups first research conducted March-April 2015.

This is the second deeper dive report that Doug and Charlotte are making to the group about this initial research.  See our July / 41st meeting for their first introductory presentation.

The agenda and F2F/virtual logistics for this meeting is posted here to our Linkedin Forum.

To introduce their presentation Doug and Charlotte said "To date much of the work of the SSBMG has focused on the business and for profit sector. This session will begin to explore how the Flourishing Business Model Canvas can be used with non-profits and not-for-profit organizations. We will open the session by summarizing some very preliminary work of applying the Canvas with cultural institutions, including museums in Toronto. The remainder of the session will consist of a dialogue regarding application of the Canvas to the nonprofit sector more generally, including what type of value propositions are possible and what types of measures of effectiveness are relevant.

The slides presented plus a link to the unedited recording of this meeting is available via our dropbox.  Please contact Prof. Nabil Harfoush for access.  The link is also posted in the comments to the agenda in our Linkedin Forum along with discussion about the meeting by our members.
